Each afternoon, we'll pore through the user blogs on FanNation and showcase three of the day's most interesting entries.
• Total Package of Total Package's Blog is amped up about the Dallas defense after last night's pounding of Eli Manning and Big Blue:
"Doomsday is back and stronger than ever. Over the last few weeks the defense has been showing up to chew bubble gum and kick some butt. And they have been all out of bubble gum! [DeMarcus] Ware finished the game with 19 sacks and has a great chance of breaking or tying Straham's record of 22. And if he breaks it, he will break it without anyone dropping to the ground for him." [Giant Victory]
• The Bronx's Heartbeat of The Bronx's Heartbeat's Blog suggests Brett Favre is actually a downgrade from Chad Pennington:
"Most striking and alarming of all are the words out of the immortal [Brett] Favre's mouth himself, voicing his own concerns in admitting to the Star-Ledger that "...maybe I don't have the arm I once had. I don't know." This statement should ring loudly in the heads of Jets fan that seemingly drove [Chad] Pennington to the airport themselves to get him out of town. Perhaps the fairy tale is over, or perhaps Favre will produce one more story to tell our grandchildren. Surprisingly, we may not be having this discussion of playoff uncertainty if the underappreciated Pennington was still roaming the Meadowlands." [Hell Hath Frozen..Pennington Proves MORE Valuable than Favre]
• NFLampoon of NFLampoon gets to the bottom of the turmoil in Big D with this tongue-in-cheek report from Irving:
"According to one member of the Dallas Cowboys organization, the media is barking up the wrong tree when it comes to the origin of the Jason Witten and Terrell Owens feud. It apparently has nothing to do with anything that took place on the field, in the locker room or at team and/or positional meetings. The source, who was only willing to talk on the condition of anonymity, says that an already tense relationship between the two boiled over when Witten borrowed Mighty Morphin Power Ranger figurines from the precocious Owens and allegedly returned one ruined." Yes, the Doomsday D appears to be back in BIG D. I hope its not too much too late.
Like most Favre fans I would have like to see him retire. Hows it going to look in week 17 if Penningtons Fins beat Bretts Jets for the AFC East title?
Im sure Ed Werder's sources lied but at the same time I have no doubt that T.O. has issues with the safe O in Big D...open it up and put the ball down field to T.O.!
