Brett Rogers is getting ready for the biggest fight of his life, as he faces Russian heavyweight phenom Fedor Emeliankeno in Strikeforce's CBS debut this Saturday. While not many people are giving Brett Rogers much of a chance in the bout, UFC President Dana White isn't one of them. "He's [Fedor] fighting a dangerous guy," White recently noted. "I don't think he's [Fedor] that good, I think he's overrated and I think he might get knocked out." Rogers admitted to being surprised by White's statement, but claims to not care about what the brash President thinks. Wow, I'm shocked to hear that," Rogers told FightLine.com regarding White's quote. "I really don't care what he thinks, but I guess I'll take it as a compliment because, I mean, you know I'm always in it to win it. I'm definitely not one of those guys who just gets in the cage just to get a check. I'm always in it to win it. And let everybody know that I'm going to be the best of the best heavyweights."

A strange rumor surfaced on Halloween that had many scrambling to find out if Fedor Emelianenko had contracted the swine flu. It all started when someone posted, "Hello everybody/Unfortunately i think that i got the flu, i hope i will get better very soon," the person wrote on what was presumed to be Fedor's Twitter account. We quickly got in touch with Strikeforce executive Mike Afromowitz, who confirmed to us that the rumors were indeed false.

Ricky Hatton is best known as a heavy hitting boxer who suffered two high profile losses to Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. And now, Randy Couture hopes that the two-time IBF and IBO light welterweight champion will try his hand at MMA, and is willing to train the British professional boxer in ground game if he comes to the UFC.

It seems the price is not right for UFC middleweight Dan Henderson, who maintains that the UFC is not offering him enough to return and fight with the organization. "I just feel that I am worth a little more than what they are offering," Henderson recently told Sports.net.ca. "You gotta consider that I have been in this sport a long time and done a lot for this sport. Obviously I wouldn't be out there asking for what I am asking for if I was just out there losing all my fights."

Earlier Thursday, MMAFanHouse reported that Strikeforce would be formally offering Dan Henderson a contract within the coming days. If that's the case, UFC president Dana White is content to let Hendo walk as he feels the UFC has done all they can to keep the former champion. "We offered him a very, very good contract. A contract that's more than fair and very respectable for everything that he's accomplished in this sport," White told MMA Connected.
